SERVICE PIN AWARDS
Service Award Pins are Pins that are personally present by the band director to any Band Student for Recognition that the student went beyond playing their instrument or twirling that flag or rifle throughout the year.
When a student receives the service pin at the end of the year banquet in front of family and peers it promotes feelings of accomplishment, appreciation and that their service is viewed as worthy.
Students love to display pride by wearing the pins achieved year after year on their letterman jacket. Communities will recognize the student is involved and dedicated to their organization. Band is a commitment throughout the entire year and will not be unnoticed if the below listed requirements are met. Students and parents working together promotes that feeling of “Band Family”. That improvement of spirits becomes a very important aspect for retention of students and promoting new students. These service hours are tracked by the boosters on file which can be retrieved if needed for students.
The following group members are eligible to work toward receiving this pin:
Marching Band
Orchestra
Symphony
Jazz
Color Guard & Winter Guard
Percussion and Ensemble
SERVICE PIN REQUIREMENTS
· The hours must be obtained in 3 different events
· Students must have a total of 16 volunteer hour
